SEATTLE — The Wolff Co. plans to start demolition work in November at 714 E. Pike St. where it will build two seven-story buildings with 260 units.

The project was on the shelf for about five months, said Greg Van Patten of The Wolff Co.

The complex is expected to open spring 2015.

Plans call for keeping the facade of an old BMW dealership. There will be 8,000 square feet of retail space behind the facade, and a total of 20,000 square feet of retail in the complex.

The two buildings will be separated by mid-block public paths.

Weber Thompson is the architect and Exxel Pacific is the general contractor. Graham Baba Architects is designing the retail.
