St. Luke’s Apartments is the first of two Ballard apartment projects to rise on the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church property at 2035 N.W. 58th St.
The eight-story, 84-unit building has rents affordable to households earning between 50% and 60% of area median income. Examples include a studio with 408 square feet, with a monthly rent of $1,325. A two-bedroom with 730 square feet goes for $2,036.
The nearly 75,000-square-foot project has 21 structured parking stalls and 50 bike stalls. There’s also a roof deck, and other amenities including a package locker, indoor play area, laundry rooms on every floor, on-site services from Family Works, and a coffee bar.
Funding sources included the city’s Office of Housing, Seattle Housing Authority, the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, the National Affordable Housing Trust and JPMorgan Chase.
